City of Eureka City Council met Aug. 16.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
The Eureka City Council convened in regular session at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Eric Lind called the meeting to order and after a moment of silence led The Pledge of Allegiance and then directed the City Clerk to call the roll. Present were Aldermen Chambliss, Germann, L. Klaus, Peterson, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson. Aldermen Logan was absent. Also in attendance were Lynn Hinnen, Treasurer and City Services Director Melissa Brown.
Moved by Germann, second by Wilson, to approve the minutes of the August 2, 2021, regular meeting of the City Council. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Germann, Wilson, Chambliss, L. Klaus, Peterson, Teegarden and Williams all voting Aye.
Moved by Teegarden, second by Klaus, to approve the Treasurer’s Report for the month ending July 31, 2021. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Teegarden, L. Klaus, Chambliss, Germann, Peterson, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye.
The Mayor asked for public comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items. There were none.
Moved by Chambliss, second by Wilson, to approve and pay the bills as the City’s obligation in the amount of $42,946.66. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Chambliss, Wilson, Germann, L. Klaus, Peterson, Teegarden and Williams all voting Aye.
Moved by Teegarden, second by Peterson, to approve Resolution 21-10, a resolution for the disposal of City property, 2008 Ford Ranger. The truck is up for bid in the newspaper and on our website. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Teegarden, Peterson, Chambliss, Germann, L. Klaus, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye.

New Business: Peterson asked about the paining on the roads and in the park. Melissa noted the bid opening will be in early September with the work being done by October 15.
