Report: Elmwood School District spent $10,718 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Elmwood Community Unit School District 322 was up 25.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Peoria County school district spent $8,566 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,718 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 705 to 670 students over the same period.

Elmwood's spending in 2019-20 was 26 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
