Report: East Peoria School District spent $12,662 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at East Peoria School District 86 was up 15 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Tazewell County school district spent $11,011 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,662 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,622 to 1,535 students over the same period.

East Peoria's spending in 2019-20 was 12.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
