Report: Lewistown School District spent $10,069 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lewistown Community Unit School District 97 was up 15.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Fulton County school district spent $8,728 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,069 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 700 to 627 students over the same period.

Lewistown's spending in 2019-20 was 30.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
