Report: Astoria School District spent $11,264 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Astoria Community Unit School District 1 was down 7.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Fulton County school district spent $12,164 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,264 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 350 to 314 students over the same period.

Astoria's spending in 2019-20 was 22.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
