Report: Tremont School District spent $9,297 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Tremont Community Unit School District 702 was down 5.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Tazewell County school district spent $9,859 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,297 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 914 to 1,000 students over the same period.

Tremont's spending in 2019-20 was 35.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
