City of Peoria Snow Fighters have finished work on primary roads and are moving into residential, where contractors began plowing overnight. Public Works Director Rick Powers noted, “Crews are making their way into residential areas now. The main roads have been plowed and are snow-covered but drivable.”
Today’s forecast is calling for sun, but with the possibility of windy conditions in the afternoon. Snow crews have been putting down materials on the arterials and will continue in the residential, utilizing the sun and warmer temperatures to assist in their efforts.
Drivers are asked to plan for extra travel time, to travel with caution, and to allow for extra space on the roads.
