City of Minonk Parks and Recreation Board met March 20

City of Minonk Parks and Recreation Board met March 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call to order: 7:04 PM 

2. Roll Call: 

a. JT Gentes -Present 

b. Justin Immel -Present 

c. Rose Armes-Present 

d. Kristen Amigoni-Present 

e. Tom Ryan-Not Present 

f. Leah Hartley-Present 

g. City Council Representative Jonathan Stears- Present 

3. Approve minutes from last board meeting- Kristen approved, Justin 2nd. 

4. Old Business: Sprindles approved for park 

5. City Council Update: $1200 cost for spindles-was approved and being replaced, reseal asphalt @ millenia-Justin motioned, Kristen 2nd. Signs for direction of veterans/businesses @ corner of Moran & Chesnut 

6. Park Issues/Concerns: Picnic table replacements @ west side, new pitching mound 

7. Budget 

8. New Business 

a. Field Maintenance Bids: Tom Barth-$2200-40 Games-Rose Accepted, Justin 2nd. 

b. Approve Business Outfield Signs Letter- Justin motioned, Rose 2nd-April 12 deadline 

c. Budget 

d. Active Sports Update: 41 kids in soccer, Purchase pop up soccer nets, $59.99 a piece & new balls-$300-Kristen approved, Justin 2nd. 

e. Upcoming Sports: T-ball/Baseball- March 25 deadline, Games in May-June, concessions for travel team JT will get candy-they will run concessions and key to unlock/lock shed 

f. Covid Regulations Update: None 

g. Tigers baseball team field rental: 

9. Public Comments: None 

10. Board member comments: Rec center ideas for new millenia park being discussed 

11. Adjourn: K motioned to adjourn , Justin 2nd at 8:38 PM
