Help Grow Waukegan! Free Trees & Bushes

Openlands announces new government funding to gift eligible Waukegan residents native landscaping trees and bushes for their yards.  Receive up to three large plants and $100 gift card for each if:

1-You have a job in landscaping, yard work, and/or tree trimming AND

2-You or your landlord agree to care for the plants

What eligible residents will receive:

  • Your choice of 15-gallon trees (6 - 8 feet) and/or 5-gallon bushes (2 - 4 feet) from Openlands' list
  • Personalized support from Openlands' landscape ecologist and certified arborist
  • A $100 gift card per plant, up to $300
  • A cool watering bucket
