According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 392 students during the year. This equates to 18 percent of the 2,194 students enrolled.
Students were expelled for 11 incidents with violence that caused physical injury, 123 incidents with violence without physical injury, 27 incidents with alcohol and tobacco, five incidents with drugs, two incidents with a dangerous weapon, other than a firearm.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 90. There were 12 incidents of tobacco. For 55 incidents, students were suspended for one to two days.
Boy students received 273 suspensions, while 119 girls were suspended.
There were 196 elementary or middle school students, and 196 high school students suspended in 2021-22 school year.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons, of which there were 134. There were 115 incidents of violence without injury. For 96 incidents, students were suspended for one to two days.
