Felony charges were filed today against Robert L. Cady, 45, and Gabrelle L. Jones, 23, following a dog attack that injured a couple last week on Moss Avenue near Bradley University.

The incident occurred on June 27 when multiple pit bulls owned by Cady and Jones were running loose and attacked the victims who were walking their dog. Previously, Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PCAPS) had ordered Cady and Jones to keep the dogs confined due to prior biting incidents. The dogs had been deemed dangerous animals.

The charges of Failure to Comply, Resulting in Serious Physical Injury, stem from violating the PCAPS order. An arrest warrant has been issued for both individuals.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Peoria County Animal Protection Services at 309-672-2440.
