Subramanian Raja Krishnamoorthi entered the world on July 19, 1973, in the bustling city of New Delhi, India. His upbringing in India instilled in him a deep appreciation for education and public service. After completing his studies, Krishnamoorthi immigrated to the United States, settling in Peoria, IL. There, he became actively involved in the local community, working to address issues affecting residents and championing initiatives to improve the quality of life for all. Krishnamoorthi's commitment to serving others led him to pursue a career in politics, where he aimed to represent the diverse voices of his constituency. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Illinois's 8th congressional district. In this role, Krishnamoorthi continued to advocate for policies that promoted economic growth, healthcare accessibility, and educational opportunities, drawing on his experiences and values instilled during his formative years. His connection to Peoria remained steadfast as he worked tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of the community he proudly called home.
