The City of Peoria is organizing two complimentary, family-oriented Halloween events this October: Trash-or-Treat and City Hall-O-Ween.
Trash-or-Treat will take place on Saturday, October 19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Community Development staff invite participants to join in a neighborhood litter cleanup while being rewarded with treats. Costumes are encouraged for this event.
Participants should meet the Community Development staff at the corner of Main and University at Campustown, located at 1200 W. Main Street, Peoria, IL 61606. The city will provide trash bags, gloves, and a limited supply of grabbers for volunteers. Those who participate will receive candy and other non-food treats as rewards for their efforts.
City Hall-O-Ween is scheduled for Friday, October 25, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., marking its fifth annual occurrence. This event welcomes everyone to enjoy festivities at Peoria City Hall situated at 419 Fulton Street, Peoria, IL 61602.
City Hall will be adorned with decorations as staff distribute candy and food-free Halloween treats to attendees. This occasion provides an opportunity to meet the individuals who serve the Peoria community daily and explore the historic City Hall building.
