Senator Neil Anderson, a firefighter and paramedic for the City of Moline, was highlighted in recognition of National First Responders Day. Additionally, Nick Wheeler, who serves as Chief of Staff and is a soldier in the Illinois Army National Guard, was also acknowledged.

A statement expressed gratitude to all first responders: "And thank you to every first responder for your unwavering bravery and selfless sacrifice. Your commitment to keeping our communities safe is nothing short of heroic."
