Peoria Standard

A veteran is defined as anyone who has served in the military, naval, or air service and was discharged under honorable conditions. Currently, there are approximately 16 million veterans in the United States who have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution.

"That's 16 million Americans who signed a blank check payable to the United States, risking everything including their lives, to ensure our way of life and the freedoms we enjoy every day do not vanish from this Earth."

On Veterans Day and every day, gratitude is extended to each servicemember for their selfless service to the country.
