On November 19, 2024, LaHood expressed his involvement in a panel discussion hosted by Politico regarding affordable housing. On November 20, 2024, LaHood met with members of the Society of American Florists to discuss trade relations and market access through renewing the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) trade program.
