City of El Paso City Council met Oct. 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

Motion by Kilpatrick, seconded by Howard to approve Alderman Brucker as Mayor Pro Tem for tonight's meeting. Voice vote taken of all ayes.

A Regular Meeting of the El Paso City Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Brucker on October 21, 2024, at 7:00 PM.

Council Members Present: Brucker, Howard, Kilpatrick and Mool. Absent: Moore. Present on Zoom: Ragusa, It was reported the meeting is being recorded.

Present in Person: Director of Public Services Barry Kauther, Treasurer Linda Haas, Clerk David Fever and Police Chief Joe Montemurro. Also present: Karen Wilkey, Josh Gray and Jenny Kearney as the local press.

Also present by Zoom Application: Director of Public Works Casey Jones, Administrative Assistant Sandee Kessinger on Zoom. Names on zoom software were Colton and Kim.

Pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited.

Approval of Agenda: Motion by Kilpatrick, seconded by Mool to approve the agenda as presented. Voice vote taken of all ayes.

Consent Agenda.

Council Minutes: The minutes of the October 7, 2024, City Council Meeting were presented in written form.

Register of Bills: The Register of Bills in the amount of $ 47,241.59 as of October 21st was presented.

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's report for the month ending September 30, 2024, showing investments, revenue and expenses was presented in written form.

Approval of Consent Agenda: Motion by Mool, seconded by Kilpatrick to approve items on consent agenda. Voice call vote taken of all ayes.

Public Comments: None.

Old Business: None.

New Business: None.

Director of Public Service: Report was presented in written form, and he spoke of new audience chairs in the Council Room.

Mayor's Report: The mayor was absent.

City Council Comments: None.

Police Chief Report: The Chief's report was presented in written form, and he reported that McGuff visited our high school, and a good time was had by all. He also is still evaluating an emergency notification system and will finalize selection soon.

Operations Supervisor: Casey presented a written report and reported all 3 generators are in place and will be operational soon.

Parks and Recreation Report: Colton's report was given in written form.

City Attorney: Attorney Stoller was absent.

City Clerk: Clerk reported that a ceremony honoring our veterans and rededication of War Memorial on Central Street will be held on November 11th at 11:00 a.m. We will also gather names of veterans to be added to memorial.

Motion by Howard seconded by Mool to adjourn. Voice vote taken of all ayes. The meeting was adjourned at 7:27 PM.
