The city of Peoria has announced that all non-owner-occupied residential properties, including vacant and rental properties, must be registered with the city. The registration period is now open and will close on February 28, 2025. Information and forms are available on the city's website.

The fees for registration renewal for 2025-2026 are as follows: $75 for single-family properties and $75 for the first unit in multi-family properties, with an additional $20 per extra unit. For example, a duplex would incur a total fee of $95.

Registration can be completed in several ways:

- In-person at the Office of Accounts Receivable, located at 419 Fulton St., Room 111.

- By mail to the same address.

- Via email by sending property lists or completed registration forms.

- Through a drop box located at City Hall's front door.

Exempt properties should be registered by emailing their address and reason for exemption along with the completed form.

Payments can be made by check to "City of Peoria" either in person at the City Treasurer’s Office or through mail or drop box options. The Treasurer's office hours are from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
