The City of Peoria, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Greater Peoria Area, is organizing an open house event to discuss upcoming homeownership opportunities at the former McKinley School site. Scheduled for Thursday, January 23, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, the event will be held at the George Washington Carver Community Center located at 710 W Percy Baker Jr Ave, Peoria, IL 61605.

Habitat for Humanity plans to construct new single-family homes on the site of the former McKinley School. The initiative aims to provide quality and affordable housing options within the community. The open house offers residents a chance to learn more about the project, ask questions, and interact with representatives from both Habitat for Humanity and the City of Peoria.

For further details regarding the open house, interested individuals can reach out to Joe Dulin, Community Development Director, at 309-494-8631 or via email.
