The city of Peoria has announced that applications for the 2025 Neighborhood Mini Grant Program will open on March 3. This program offers financial support to neighborhood and homeowner associations for projects aimed at improving neighborhoods and fostering community spirit.

First-time applicants can apply for grants up to $5,000, while returning applicants may request up to $2,500. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate community support for their proposed projects. All projects need to be completed, and funds utilized by December 12, 2025.

Eligible projects include security cameras, block parties, tree-planting (non-fruit bearing) and landscaping, public space improvements such as benches or picnic tables, outreach initiatives, placemaking efforts, and public art installations.

Applications can be submitted in three ways: online via the Neighborhood Mini Grant page; by calling (309) 494-8600; or in person at City Hall located at 419 Fulton Street, Room 203 in Peoria from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

The application period runs from March 3 through April 4. City staff will review submissions with funding decisions expected by mid-April.

For further details, Community Development Engagement Manager Kaylee Drea is available for contact via email or phone at 309-494-8624.
