Beginning on March 3, West Nebraska Avenue will undergo significant traffic changes due to the Nebraska Avenue Reconstruction Project. From North Sterling Avenue to North Park Road, the avenue will be limited to one-lane, one-way eastbound traffic. This adjustment is projected to last until mid-summer, depending on weather conditions.

The current two eastbound lanes of West Nebraska Avenue will close, and all eastbound traffic will be redirected to use the existing westbound lane. Consequently, westbound traffic along this stretch will not be allowed.

Drivers are advised to follow marked detour routes and exercise caution around the area due to the road closure. Alternative routes are recommended for those traveling through this part of town.

Several specific closures and restrictions have been outlined:

- Westbound lanes between North Sterling Avenue and North Park Road will be closed.

- Left turns from West Nebraska Avenue onto North Park Road are prohibited.

- North Otley Road access at West Nebraska Avenue is closed; residents should use North Park Road for entry and exit.

- Only right turns onto West Nebraska Avenue from North Stever Avenue are permitted.

- Access to businesses in the 2300-2400 blocks of West Nebraska Avenue is via North Sterling Avenue.

- The northbound drive lane on North Sterling Avenue south of West Nebraska through the intersection is closed, though right turns onto West Nebraska are still allowed.

For westbound through traffic on Nebraska Avenue, drivers should use West Forrest Hill Avenue via either North Sterling or North University Avenues as a detour.
