The Peoria Municipal Band is inviting new instrumentalists and vocalists to join its 2025 summer season. Auditions are scheduled for early May.
Instrumentalists are being recruited for both full-time and part-time positions. Applicants must have completed high school and demonstrate strong sight-reading abilities. The audition will primarily involve scales and sight-reading exercises.
Vocalist applicants should also be high school graduates with solo singing experience. They may perform works from the classical repertoire, opera, or musical theater during auditions, which require two solo songs and the National Anthem to be performed from memory.
