Beginning at 7 am on Monday, March 17, W Moss Avenue will be closed to through traffic from N Western Avenue to N Duryea Place. This closure is part of the Moss Avenue – Western Avenue to Sheridan Road – Reconstruction Project and is expected to last through the fall.
Access will be limited to residential traffic and emergency vehicles during this period. On-street parking will not be permitted on this section of Moss Avenue.
Drivers are advised to use all marked detour routes and exercise caution in the area. The use of alternative routes is recommended.
The designated detour route includes W Martin Luther King Jr. Drive or W Bradley Avenue for eastbound and westbound traffic on W Moss Avenue from N Western Avenue or N University Street. Northbound traffic on N MacArthur Highway should take N Richard Allen Drive to W Romeo B Garrett Avenue to reach westbound W Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
