Sidewalk construction is underway at several intersections along SW Jefferson Avenue and SW Adams Street. This is part of the larger Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project.
Work is being conducted at the southwest corner of SW Jefferson Avenue and Liberty Street, the southwest corner of SW Harrison Street and Jefferson Avenue, the northwest corner of SW Adams Street and N William Kumpf Boulevard, and the northeast corner of SW Adams Street and N William Kumpf Boulevard.
Pedestrians are advised to proceed with caution when sidewalks are closed and to use the next available intersection for street crossing. On-street parking restrictions are clearly marked, and drivers should look for unbagged parking meters for available spots. Where parking meters are bagged with “No Parking” signs, vehicles should not be parked.
The project will bring additional parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions as it advances. Motorists are reminded to be mindful of construction workers, to observe no parking areas, and to exercise extra caution in the vicinity.
