Beginning at 7 a.m. on April 21, the road closure on Oak Street will be extended from SW Washington to SW Commercial Street, affecting the Commercial Street intersection. This extension is part of the ongoing Depot Street Construction Project and is likely to continue through the middle of summer, depending on weather conditions.
On-street parking along SW Commercial Street will remain available. Drivers are advised to use State Street to access these parking spaces.
There will still be access to parking lots behind the 800 block of SW Washington Street. Access to these lots will now require the use of Persimmon Street.
Parking restrictions will continue along Oak Street, with no parking allowed during the closure.
Motorists and pedestrians should take note of the closure and proceed with caution in the area while the construction work is ongoing.
