Sidewalk work is advancing at several intersections along Jefferson Avenue and SW Adams Street. This development is part of the ongoing Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project.

The construction is currently focused on the following locations:

- The southwest corner of Fayette Street and NE Jefferson Avenue, near 228 NE Jefferson Avenue.

- The southeast corner of Main Street and NE Jefferson Avenue, close to the Peoria County Courthouse.

- Along Fulton Plaza, at SW Jefferson Avenue, between 120 SW Jefferson Avenue and 331 Fulton Street.

- The northeast corner of SW Adams Street and N William Kumpf Boulevard.

Pedestrians are advised to exercise caution in areas where sidewalks are closed. It is recommended to cross streets at the next available intersection.

Parking restrictions are in place, marked by signs indicating available parking meters for on-street parking. Drivers should avoid spots where meters are covered with “No Parking” signs.

As the project progresses, further restrictions on parking, lanes, and sidewalks will be announced. Drivers are urged to remain aware of workers in the area and observe no-parking zones. Extra caution is encouraged when navigating these areas.
