GFL has announced that there will be no recycling, yard waste, or trash collection on Monday, May 26, due to the Memorial Day holiday. This schedule change affects all pick-up routes for the week.
Residents should note that their usual collection days will be delayed by one day throughout the week. Specifically:
- Those with a Monday collection day will have their pick-up on Tuesday.
- Tuesday collections will occur on Wednesday.
- Wednesday collections are moved to Thursday.
- Thursday collections shift to Friday.
- Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
The regular schedule for recycling, yard waste, and trash pick-up is set to resume the following week.
To ensure timely collection, residents must place their containers out by 6 am on their designated pick-up day. It is important to remove containers from the curb or alley within 24 hours after collection and store them in a garage or alongside the house or garage. Containers should not be left on streets or sidewalks.
