Sidewalk construction has commenced at the intersection of Main Street and SW Jefferson Avenue, close to 333 Main Street. The sidewalks in this area are closed, and pedestrians are advised to cross at the nearest available intersection.

Work is also ongoing at several other intersections:

- The southeast corner of Main Street and NE Jefferson Avenue, near the Peoria County Courthouse, where work is almost complete.

- Along Fulton Plaza at SW Jefferson Avenue, between 120 SW Jefferson Avenue and 331 Fulton Street, nearing completion.

- Pedestrian crossings along SW Jefferson Avenue across from Liberty Street, near the Civic Center at 201 SW Jefferson Avenue, also nearing completion.

- The southeast corner of NE Jefferson Avenue and Hamilton Boulevard, near 318 Hamilton Boulevard.

- The southeast corner of NE Jefferson Avenue and Fayette Street, near 200 NE Jefferson Avenue.

Pedestrians should exercise caution when sidewalks are closed and use the next available intersection for crossing.

On-street parking restrictions are clearly marked. Drivers should seek out unbagged parking meters for available on-street parking. Parking spots with bagged meters displaying “No Parking” signs should be avoided.

Further restrictions on parking, lanes, and sidewalks will be announced as the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way (OWTW) Conversion Project continues.

Drivers need to remain aware of workers in the vicinity and heed no-parking areas. Extra caution is advised in these zones.
