City of Chillicothe Judicial Committee met July 30.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Judicial Committee met on July 30, 2025 at 4:30 p.m., in the council chambers at City Hall. 

Present: Chairman Gehrig, Alderperson Bredeman, Alderperson Semtner, Alderperson Connor 

Also Present: Mayor Hughes, Office Manager Passage, Attorney Day

Chairman Gehrig called the meeting to order 4:30 p.m.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comments

PURPOSE

Ordinance - relating to Bikes/Bike paths/Multi-purpose pedestrian bike trail:

Attorney Day reported that he has reached out to Adam Buzzard, IVC Assistant Superintendent regarding if there is any interest in annexing the property that the bike trail is on and/or a potential agreement between the city, county and School District regarding jurisdictional enforcement pertaining to the multi-purpose pedestrian bike trail. He has not received a response and will reach out to him again.

A discussion was held regarding signage for the bike trail. The consensus of the committee was to have Superintendent Sutherland order signs stating all motorized vehicles prohibited on Bike Trail.
