Kyra Willis, a registered nurse at Springfield Memorial Hospital, has been recognized as the hospital’s Colleague of the Month for September.

Willis was nominated after a patient who experienced a difficult procedure and recovery spoke highly of her care. The patient credited Willis with his recovery and described her actions in detail.

“He shared that Kyra listened to every concern with patience, kindness and unwavering dedication,” wrote her nominator. “Her attention to detail led to timely interventions, including a change in pain management that significantly improved his condition. He also noted how she excelled in ‘the little things,’ maintaining a calm, confident presence that extended to the entire care team.”

Willis joined Springfield Memorial Hospital in 2023.
