Additional charges have been brought against Jaxon A. Robinson, 18, in the case involving the death of a 15-year-old male in Peoria. Robinson has been charged with First-Degree Murder. During a detention hearing on October 14, 2025, the court granted the State’s Petition to Detain, so Robinson will remain in custody until his trial.

The incident occurred on October 1, 2025, when officers responded at around 7:45 a.m. to reports of shots fired inside a house on the 2400 block of N. Sheridan Road in the West Bluff area. Curtis Jones, who was present at the scene, refused to allow officers entry. Another resident later permitted officers to enter and check for victims. Officers found Jafari A. Robinson hiding in a bathroom with a spent shell casing in his pocket.

In the basement, police discovered a significant amount of blood, shell casings, and bullet damage to furniture. A rolled-up rug was later found to contain the body of Keyaun Hardimon, age 15, who had suffered two gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses stated that Jones, Smith, Jafari Robinson, and Jaxon Robinson were in the basement with Hardimon when shots were fired. Jones, Smith, and Jafari Robinson have previously been charged in connection with this case and remain in custody.
