Three teenagers have been charged as adults in connection with the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Khmari Davis-Rickmon in Peoria, Illinois. Peoria County State’s Attorney Jodi Hoos announced that Orlando J. Hanson Jr., 16, Jamion L. Irby, 17, and Davieon D. Webster, 16, are facing charges of First-Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Handgun. Due to their ages and the severity of the alleged crime, all three are automatically being prosecuted as adults.
"The State has filed Petitions to Detain, which a judge will hear tomorrow," said Hoos.
The incident occurred on October 12, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., when police responded to a ShotSpotter alert indicating multiple gunshots in the 2300 block of W. Antoinette in South Peoria. Officers found Rickmon with a gunshot wound to the head; he was transported to a hospital where he later died.
According to police reports, a witness heard gunshots and observed three males fleeing from the scene into a nearby residence. Officers identified these individuals as Hanson, Irby, and Webster. The teens were taken into custody shortly after the incident. Authorities searched the home and recovered three firearms; shell casings from these weapons matched those found at the crime scene.
"This investigation is ongoing," officials said. "If you have information regarding this incident, please contact the Peoria Police Department at 309-673-4521."
