The Lincoln Memorial Foundation will hold its annual Light Up a Life tree-lighting ceremony on Tuesday, December 2 at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place in front of Lincoln Memorial Hospital and is open to the public.
According to the organizers, the ceremony aims to celebrate loved ones and honor those who have passed. Attendees can enjoy a free soup supper, available for dine-in or as a grab-and-go meal with an RSVP.
There is also an opportunity for community members to donate to the Lincoln Memorial Foundation in honor, remembrance, or appreciation of someone. Names submitted for this purpose will be included in special online-only editions of The Courier, Lincoln Daily News, and New Herald News. The deadline for submitting names is December 5.
Funds raised through this campaign help support several initiatives by the foundation. These include grants for health care career education, purchasing medical equipment for patient care improvements, strengthening the LMH Community Health Collaborative, and supporting programs run by the LMH Auxiliary.
Those interested in attending the dinner or making a donation as part of Light Up a Life can contact almhfoundation@mhsil.com or visit memorial.health.
