Sidewalk construction at the intersection of Fulton Street and S.W. Jefferson Avenue is close to completion, according to an update on the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project.

Work has been ongoing at both the northwest and northeast corners of Fulton Street. In addition, construction continues at the northeast corner of Hamilton Boulevard and N.E. Jefferson Avenue, near 200 N.E. Jefferson Avenue.

Upcoming work includes sidewalk removal at the northeast corner of Main Street and N.E. Jefferson Avenue, close to 100 N.E. Jefferson Avenue.

The public is reminded that when sidewalks are closed, pedestrians should use caution in these areas and cross streets only at designated intersections.

Parking restrictions remain in effect where marked. Drivers are advised to look for unbagged parking meters for available street parking. Spaces with bagged meters labeled “No Parking” should not be used.

Further updates on parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions will be provided as the project advances.

Drivers are encouraged to stay alert for workers in these zones and observe all posted no-parking signs. The statement notes: "Extra caution should be exercised in the area."
