Sidewalk work continues along Adams Street at multiple intersections
Sidewalk work continues at the intersections of Harrison Street, Liberty Street, Fulton Street, Main Street, and Hamilton Boulevard along Adams Street. Sidewalks near 332, 300, and 124 SW Adams Street, and 100 and 200 NE Adams Streets remain closed. Pedestrians are advised to use caution near these closures and cross the street at the next available intersection.

Peoria opens applications for interim city treasurer
May 28, 2024 (PEORIA, IL) — Mayor Ali announced at tonight’s Council meeting that she is accepting applications for the Peoria City Treasurer vacancy, left open by the pending resignation of Stephen Morris due to “personal and professional commitments.” The resident filling the interim position will remain in office for the remainder of the term. The general election for City Treasurer will be held on April 1, 2025.

The right turn lane on SW Jefferson Avenue onto N William Kumpf Boulevard will reopen by the end of the day on Friday, May 24. Southwest-bound Jefferson Avenue traffic should continue utilizing N MacArthur Highway as the detour route until the turn lane reopens.
