The Princeville Village Board met April 19.
The board consists of a the village president and six trustees. Members serve staggered, four-year terms.

Minutes of the Regular Board Meeting
President Stahl was absent and Acting President, Trustee Sutherland, called the meeting to order with the following Trustees answering present: Troutman, Koller, Gilroy and Haley. Trustee Carton has resigned and the board accepted his resignation at the November 2, 2015 meeting. A quorum was present for the meeting. Notice of the meeting and the agenda were sent and received in a timely manner. Others present were Superintendent of Public Works Gardner, Treasurer Hofer, MCO Dan Sullivan and Clerk Mercer.
Added to the agenda: MCO Sullivan to address board in regards to updates on code violations.
Municipal Code Officer Report: Dan Sullivan, reported he had received two more violations from Treasurer Hofer. The Owner of the abandoned trailer on Stanton has been sent notice for removal, it will also be posted in the paper for three weeks. The MCO and the Village Attorney are currently working on three houses within the Village with code violation issues. The MCO will have the cannabis ordinance ready for review the first board meeting in May.
Police Report: April 1, 2016 there was an arrest for filing false police reports. Minor accident in the parking lot of the High School, April 5th and a sick call on April 11th.
PCA: Julie Delbridge stated that Rich Knapp and Rudy Roger will be at the next meeting seeking a donation on behalf of the PCA for Heritage Days. The Grand Marshall for the Heritage Days Parade will be Dean Troutman. The Village website has been down a little while, and should be back up soon. Julie will add the Troutman Park Walk and Softball tournament to the Village website. Julie also stated the PCA will be awarding two scholarships in the amount of $300.00 each to a graduating senior from Princeville High School. April 23, 2016 is Senior Prom. FFA plant sale starts April 28th. Town wide garage sales will be held Saturday May 14th.
Committee Reports: Trustee Troutman stated the Pool Committee is meeting April 25, 2016 at 7:30 p.m., and they are getting the vending service set up. Personnel Committee will meet April 21, 2016, 8:00 a.m. at the Village Hall.
Fund Transfers for 2015 – 2016: Provided to the board by Treasurer Hofer:
General Fund to Pool Fund $22,300.00 to Cover Pool Deficit.
TIF 1 Fund to IEPA Loan Fund $81,542.79 Loan Principal Payment on 8/15/15 & $10,153.73 Loan Interest Payment on 8/15/2015.
TIF 2 Fund to General Fund $24,228.38 = 20% of property taxes.
Water Fund to Water Dep Fund = $15,000.00 IEPA designated.
Water fund to IEPA Loan $82,613.04 Loan Principal Payment on 02/16/2016 and $9,083.48 Loan interest payment 02/16/2016.
Trustee Gilroy made a motion to approve the 2015-2106 Transfers, with a second by Trustee Haley. Acting President Trustee Sutherland, roll call vote. Trustees Troutman, Koller, Gilroy, Haley and Acting President Trustee Sutherland voting aye. No nays. Motion carried.
Treasurer Hofer stated the annual audit will take place May 23rd and 24th of 2016.
Budget review for new fiscal year maybe held the last week of April.
Building Permits: Akron-Princeville Ambulance – Addition to the Back of Ambulance Shed.
Report from Supt. of Public Works: Supt. Gardner reported that Matt Thompson should be coming next week to work on the ditch on Town Avenue. The employees will begin work on the pool, the week of the 25th of April and in the process of getting chemical quotes. Work continues on the electrical service for the garage recently purchased. Grants are coming available for streetscapes for the business district from the Federal Government, and the Trustees will need to decide if the Village should apply for a grant. The old drawings from prior grant applications will be available at the next board meeting.
Any Other business to be brought before the board: Trustee Gilroy will soon have quotes from two different companies for the new playground equipment for Cutter’s Grove Park.
Adjournment: Trustee Koller made a motion to adjourn, with a second by Trustee Troutman. Acting President Trustee Sutherland, voice vote. All ayes no nays. Acting President Trustee Sutherland adjourned the meeting at 7:55 p.m.
