West Peoria Plan Commission revisits residential reimbursement program

Meeting 07

The city of West Peoria Plan Commission met April 19.

The Plan Commission help guide development according to the Comprehensive Plan. The Commission periodically reviews the plan and convenes monthly to discuss planning issues and review applications for zoning and ordinance changes.

Official Minutes of the West Peoria Plan Commission Of the City of West Peoria, Illinois Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. West Peoria City Hall 2506 W. Rohmann Avenue, West Peoria, IL 61604

Call to Order Chair Swearingen called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.

Roll Call Members present were Chair Swearingen, Mike Powers, Dan Morse, Sue Roos and Amy Furgiuele. Also present City Administrator Carlson and City Clerk Silver. Absent was Gloria Lindsay.

Additions to/or Deletions from the agenda No additions or deletions to the agenda were presented.

Approval of minutes of the last meeting – March 15, 2016 Amy Furgiuele made a motion to approve the meeting minutes of March 15, 2016, Mike Powers seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously by voice.

Comprehensive Plan Review — no review of the comprehensive took place.

City Administrator/Economic Development Coordinator Report – no report.

Public Comment No public was present for comment.

Old Business in regards to the residential reimbursement program, Chair Swearingen reported that Shannah King with South Side Bank has been appointed as the point of contact between the commission and the Bank to determine the specifics of the extended terms and rate that South Side Bank might offer in support of the program. The committee then discussed the specifics of how residents will be directed to the option if needed. Also discussed were options on how to fund the program in FY 2018 whether through grants or other means available.

New Business No new business was presented.

Public Comment No public was present for comment.

Determination of Future Agenda

Chair Swearingen proposed the idea of convening the June, July and August 2016 months. Determination will be made at the next meeting. The next meeting will be May 17, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

Meeting adjourned at 6:02 p.m.
