Peoria Standard

The Peoria Heights Community Unit School District 325 Board of Education met July 13.

Here are the meeting minutes as provided by District 325:

A. Call to Order

President Gorman called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM

B. Roll Call

Present- Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart

Absent- Kelton, Casey

Others Present- Heath, Mooney

C. Pledge of Allegiance

President Gorman asked everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

D. Approval of Minutes

Motion made by McCumber, seconded by Hulse to approve the minutes from Regular Meeting on June 8, 2016 and Special Meeting June 29, 2016 as presented. 

Members voting Aye: Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart.

Nays: None. Motion carried.

E. Payment of Bills

Motion made by Hulse, seconded by McCumber to pay the bills as presented.

Members voting Aye: Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart. 

Nays: None.

I. Coaching Contract

Motion made by Mathisen, seconded by Hulse to approve the contract of Chris Reese to serve as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at the Peoria Heights Grade School for the 2016-2017 school year. 

Members voting Aye: Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart. 

Nays: None. 

Motion carried.

J. Coaching Contract

Motion made by Hulse, seconded by Mathisen to approve the contract of Brittany Heid to serve as the Cheerleading Coach at the Peoria Heights High School for the 2016-2017 school year. 

Members voting Aye: Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart. 

Nays: None.

Fund Balances for 2015-2016

L. School Board Policy Manual

Motion made by Hulse, seconded by McCumber that the Board of Education adopt the policy updates to the school board policy manual as presented by the Illinois School Board Association. 

Members voting Aye: Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart. 

Nays: None. 

Motion carried.

M. Other Business to come before the Board:

Eric: Next meeting is August 10, school district will be closed until August 1, 2016

Terry: Nothing

McCumber: very good class put on by the Pearl Co for local students – S.T.E.M.
