Illinois State Rep. Ryan Spain (R-Peoria) has added another highlight to his already impressive resume: vice president of Economic Development for OSF HealthCare, the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce reported recently.
In his new role, Spain will work to boost economic activity in communities served by OSF HealthCare as well as the entire state, develop and initiate strategic economic development projects, and manage OSF's investments. He will also recommend grant opportunities and act as liaison to local economic-development organizations throughout OSF's coverage areas.
Spain has worked with OSF HealthCare for more than four years in various roles, most recently as vice president of Government Relations.
A Peoria native, Spain graduated summa cum laude with a political science and speech degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and earned his MBA from Bradley University.
In 2007, Davis became the youngest at-large member in the history of the Peoria City Council. He was elected as state representative for the 73rd District in 2016.
OSF HealthCare is an integrated health system owned and operated by the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. The OSF group offers acute-care facilities, a physicians network, two nursing colleges and a network of home health services.
