A. Call to Order

President Gorman called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM

B. Roll Call

Present- Kelton, Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart

Absent- Casey

Others Present- Heath, Stoner, Mooney, Carroll

C. Pledge of Allegiance

President Gorman asked everyone to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

D. Approval of Minutes

Motion made by Kelton, seconded by McCumber to approve the minutes from

Regular Meeting on Novemebr 9, 2016 as presented. Members voting Aye: Kelton,

Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.

E. Payment of Bills

Motion made by Hulse, seconded by McCumber to pay the bills as presented.

Members voting Aye: Kelton, Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart. Nays: None.

Motion carried.

I. Tax Levy

Motion made by Hulse, seconded by McCumber that the Board of Education adopts the

resolution to approve the Certificate of Levy for the year 2016 as presented. Members

voting Aye: Kelton, Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart.. Nays: None. Motion

carried.

J. Bond Review – Yearly Review of Districts Outstanding Bonds

As presented

K. School Board Policy Manual

Motion made by Kelton, seconded by Mathisen that the Board of Education adopts the

policy updates to the school board policy manual as presented by the Illinois School

Board Association. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Hulse, Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman,

Ahart. Nays: None. Motion carried.

L. Peoria Heights High School Cheer Camp

Motion made by Hulse, seconded by McCumber that the Board of Education approves

the request to have a Cheer Camp as requested. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Hulse,

Mathisen, McCumber, Gorman, Ahart.. Nays: None. Motion carried.

M. Discussion Item: Special Education Teachers

N. SEAPCO Hiring Survey

Motion made by Kelton, seconded by Mathisen that the Board of Education approves

the SEAPCO hiring survey as presented. Members voting Aye: Kelton, Hulse, Mathisen,

McCumber, Gorman, Ahart.. Nays: None. Motion carried.

O. Discussion Item: Grade School Enrollment – 2017-2018

P. Other Business:

Heath: Peoria Co Sales tax passed. Food baskets will go out Dec 16, 2016, next meeting

is January 11, 2017

Stoner: Pot luck for high school staff Dec 20, 2016 @ 1145, finals next Mon, Tue, Wed

Mooney: GS hosting 7th and 8th grade regionals and sectionals, GS Christmas program is

Dec 12, 2016, band concert is Dec 21, 2016 @ 5:30

Carroll: Thanks for the school board conference and all that attended, GS luncheon is

Dec 20, 2016 @ 11:15, and Thanks to Pour Bros Tap for donating money to help with the

purchasing of food for the baskets.
