Hanna City ranked 157th in state in lottery ticket sales

The village of Hanna City had the 157th highest lottery ticket net sales statewide per capita for the month of March 2016 -- up 42 spots from its February ranking.

The per capita lottery ticket sales in Hanna City was $32.78 per person.

Based on monthly sales records obtained by the Peoria Standard, Hanna City generated $40,384.50 in net sales from its two lottery retailers in March 2016, compared to $43,745 in March 2015.


The village of Hanna City is in Peoria County, and has a population of 1,232, according to 2010 census data.

Average sales for municipalities in the region in March 2016 was $25,378.84.

Hanna City's top lottery retailer is Caseys Gen Store #2564 located at 13023 W Farmington Rd, Hanna City, IL 61536.

Caseys Gen Store #2564 generated 57 percent of Hanna City's March 2016 lottery ticket sales and 1 percent of Peoria County's sales that month, which was $2,943,946.50.

A close look at sales by city shows that the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita in Peoria County in 2015 were Mapleton, Dunlap, Bartonville, Hanna City and Brimfield.

Statewide, the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita were Forest View, Burnt Prairie, McCook, Mapleton and Merrionette Park.

The top five cities in the state generated $5,496,719 in net sales -- 1 percent of the state's 2015 net sales amounting to $2,793,271,709.50.
