Village Of Princeville Village Board met March 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

President Stahl called the meeting to order with the following Trustees answering present: Sutherland, Troutman, Gilroy, and Geiger. Trustees Koller and Haley were absent. A quorum was present for the meeting. Notice of the meeting and the agenda were sent and received in a timely manner. Also present was Superintendent of Public Works Gardner.

Police Report: No police reports since last meeting.

Report from the Municipal Code Officer: MCO Dan Sullivan was not present.

Amy Troutman, donation to Troutman Park: Troutman Park will be having “A Day in the Park” on May 20. Amy Troutman said it will include many activities that will continue on May 21. The Park Committee is working towards getting a cement path to the pavilion, correcting the north drainage problem and getting two more cameras. Food and beer will be sold. Motion made by Trustee Sutherland and seconded by Trustee Geiger to approve a liquor license to sell beer at Troutman Park on May 20 from 9 am to 7 pm and May 21 from 9 am to 7 pm. President Stahl, roll call vote. Trustee Sutherland, Gilroy, Geiger and President Stahl voting aye. Trustee Troutman abstained. Trustees Koller and Haley absent. No nays. Motion carried. After discussion, motion made by Trustee Geiger and seconded by Trustee Sutherland to donate $1000 to the Troutman Park “Day in the Park”. President Stahl, roll call vote. Trustee Sutherland, Gilroy, Geiger and President Stahl voting aye. Trustee Troutman abstained. Trustees Koller and Haley absent. No nays. Motion carried.

PCA Report: Julie Delbridge reported that the PCA met last Monday. Sponsorship for Heritage Days will go out in two weeks. PCA is donating $500 to the Princeville Little League. Julie listed important dates coming up in April: APFD Fireman’s Ball on April 1 at Arrowhead Country Club, Woman’s Club Soup & Sandwich Luncheon on April 8 at the Museum, Community Coffee on April 12 at the Museum, Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt on April 15 at Cutters Grove Park, and the Heritage Museum Open House on April 22. Mark Rothert sent better maps for the Princeville Enterprise Zone. Doug Streitmatter, downtown building, and Seneca Foods, an addition to plant, will be filling out applications.

Building Permits: McNeeley, 620 E. Main St. – Utility Shed

Committee Reports: The pool committee met and discussed the upcoming pool season. Manager Nate Rice was present. Nate said that nine new life guard applications were in. All applications are due by April 6. The committee will review applications on April 11 and meet with the pool employees on April 20. Mike Sheets is coming back as assistant manager. The sand filters need to be redone. Hydrostatic valves need to be replaced, and new grates are needed on some drains. Nate would like to paint the building this year.

Consider & vote on an Ordinance Approving and Authorizing the Execution of a Redevelopment Agreement by and between the Village of Princeville TIF District 1 and Wineinger & Sons Inc.: Wineinger & Sons applied for redevelopment money from TIF 1 to cover expenses for roof repairs at their business on Spring Street. Their application was approved by our legal council from The Economic and Development Group. Motion made by Trustee Troutman and seconded by Trustee Sutherland to approve the Ordinance Approving and Authorizing the Execution of a Redevelopment Agreement by and between the Village of Princeville TIF District 1 and Wineinger & Sons Inc. in the amount of $3000.00. President Stahl, roll call vote. Trustee Sutherland, Troutman, Gilroy, Geiger and President Stahl voting aye. Trustees Koller and Haley absent. No nays. Motion carried.

Report from the Superintendent of Public Works: Water meters were read on March 20 and 21 for the April 1 billing. Russ has been working a few hours a day, and has a doctor’s release with no lifting. Derek passed his CDL-B and will qualify for a $1 an hour raise. Chad, Mark and Derek drove all the streets to see what areas need asphalt/repairs. Mark and Derek are both doing good work. March 31 will be the bid opening for the water main replacement on S. Cottage Grove Ave. Trustee Geiger mentioned that N. Town alley is in bad shape. Chad will be checking all the alleys in town looking for repairs. Capital expenses will be discussed at the next board meeting.

Any other business that needs to be brought before the board: Trustee Troutman has had more complaints about the roof falling in at the house on the former Alcoa property.

Adjournment: Trustee Sutherland made a motion to adjourn at 7:59 pm, second by Trustee Troutman. President Stahl, voice vote. All ayes. Trustees Koller and Haley absent. No nays. Motion carried.
