West Peoria City Council met April 28.
Here is the minutes provided by the Council:
1. Call to Order
Mayor Dillon called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
2. Pledge of allegiance
The pledge of allegiance was led by Mayor Dillon.
3. Roll Call
Members present were Mayor Dillon, Alderpersons Dohm, Thomas, Meismer, Reagan, Barnes, Martindale and Silver. Also present were Interim City Administrator Krider, City Attorney Connor, John and Gertrude Deal, two unnamed residents of Barker Avenue and Clerk Silver. Absent was Alderperson Ganson.
4. Continued Public Heating
Clerk Silver Conducted the Swearing in or resident John Deal. Mr. Deal reported that everyone in attendance wanted the sidewalks very much and reported that he had spoken with the neighbors, thanking the city for providing documentation for his conversation with the neighbors. Mayor Dillon outlined the process of the sidewalk program and how it would now be voted on.
Motion to finally close the public hearing was made by Alderperson Silver at 5:07 p.m. Alderperson Reagan seconded the motion.

Nays - 0
Absent - 1 - GanSon Motion Carried.
5. Motion to approve Ordinance 2017-13, an Ordinance regarding the establishment of special service areas for calendar year 2017 and Setting a public hearing on the ordinance levying a special service area tax within same was made by Alderperson Silver. Alderperson Barnes seconded the motion.

Nays - 0
Absent - 1 -- Ganson Motion Carried
6. Other Public Comment
No public comment was offered.
7. Adjournment
Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Alderperson Meismer at 5:09 p.m. Alderperson Reagan seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously by voice.
