Proceedings of a Special Meeting


of The Board of Trustees of The Firemen's Pension Fund

of Peoria, Illinois

A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen's Pension Fund of Peoria, Illinois,

was held on April 24, 2017, at 5:48 P.M. at Jim's Steakhouse - Downtown, 110 S. W. Jefferson,

Peoria, Illinois, with proper notice having been given for the purpose of conducting Firemen's

Pension Fund business installation of a new Board Member.

Roll Call

Roll Call showed the following Board Members present: Ball, Nichting, Phillips, Troglio,

President Nieukirk - 5; Absent: None.

Others present: Mr. Tom McShane, First Vice President - Investments, Senior Investment

Management Consultant with Graystone Consulting, a business of Morgan Stanley/Smith

Barney in Chicago; Attorney James Dobrovolny of Reimer, Dobrovolny & Karlson, LLC; and

Chief Deputy City Clerk Stefanie Tarr.

Regular Business

Item No.1 Declaration of The Winner by Acclamation of Active

Representative - Ralph Phillips.

Trustee Ball announced that Ralph Phillips should be declared the Active Representative by

acclamation, noting there were no other candidates to warrant an election.

Trustee Troglio moved to declare Ralph Phillips the winner by acclamation of the April 2017

Firemen's Pension Election for Active Firefighters and designate a term of three years and

accept the acclamation; seconded by Trustee Nichting.

Approved by roll call vote.

Yeas: Ball, Nichting, Troglio, President Nieukirk - 4;

Nays: None;

Abstentions: Phillips - 1.

Item No.2 Swearing-In Ceremony for Newly Elected Trustee - Ralph

Phillips.

Trustee Ball administered the Oath of Office to Ralph Phillips as Active Trustee of the Firemen's

Pension Fund of Peoria, Illinois.

Item No.3 Election of Officers - President and Secretary.

President

Trustee Troglio nominated Jack A. Nieukirk, Jr. for President of the Firemen's Pension Fund

Board of Trustees for 2017-2018.

Following three calls for nominations, Trustee Phillips moved that the nominations be closed and

to elect Jack A. Nieukirk, Jr. as President of the Firemen's Pension Fund Board of Trustees for

2017-2018; seconded by Trustee Troglio.

Jack A. Nieukirk, Jr., was elected President by roll call vote.

Yeas: Ball, Nichting, Phillips, Troglio - 4;

Nays: None;

Abstention: President Nieukirk, Jr. - 1.

Trustee Ball administered the Oath of Office to Jack A. Nieukirk, Jr. as President of the Firemen's

Pension Fund Board of Trustees.

Secretary

Trustee Phillips nominated Beth Ball for Secretary of the Firemen's Pension Fund Board of

Trustees for 2017-2018.

Following three calls for nominations, Trustee Phillips moved that the nominations be closed and

to elect Beth Ball as Secretary of the Firemen's Pension Fund Board of Trustees for 2017-2018;

seconded by Trustee Troglio.

Beth Ball was elected Secretary by roll call vote.

Yeas: Nichting, Phillips, Troglio, President Nieukirk - 4;

Nays: None;

Abstention: Ball - 1.

Attorney Dobrovolny administered the Oath of Office to Beth Ball as Secretary of the Firemen's

Pension Fund Board of Trustees.

Item No.4 Appointment of Examining Physicians - Wood Lake Medical and

Inspe Associates, Ltd.

Trustee Nichting moved to approve the appointment of Woodlake Medical and INSPE

Associates, LTD, as Examining Physicians for the Firemen's Pension Fund Board and any

others as needed; seconded by Trustee Phillips.

Approved by viva voce vote

Adjournment

Trustee Phillips moved to adjourn the Special Firemen's Pension Board Meeting; seconded by

Trustee Troglio.

Approved by viva voce vote.

The meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
