The price of local government: City of Mascoutah

The City of Mascoutah budget was $20.90 million for its 2015 fiscal year, or $7,393.06 per household.

That's an increase of 15.6 percent from 2014, when the city spent $18.09 million, or $6,397.78 per household.

Mascoutah has 2,827 households and a population of 7,483.
