City of Chillicothe Public Works Committee met September 6.

The Public Works Committee met on September 6, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall.
Present: Alderman Gould
Alderman Sharp
Alderman Hughes
Mayor White
City Engineer Coulter
Superintendent Sutherland
One sidewalk application was received from Joe Jackson at 605 Santa Fe and Superintendent Sutherland
reported that the owner obtained two quotes. The low quote from Yarger & sons, in the amount of
$1,360.00, city share would be $1,000.00, was selected by the owner and the work completed. The
committee agreed that this would not be a problem and recommended approval by council.
Mr. Coulter reported that the overlay work was completed today and the patching was completed last Friday.
Both of these projects were completed within the approved amount. Spray patching and crack sealing remain
to be completed and should be done this month or early next month.
Mayor White noted that Mr. Coulter will attend the IDOT meeting this week regarding the IDOT program.
Old Business:
Mayor White is reviewing the Public Works Building over the winter.
Mayor White is reviewing the Street Name Sign Policy and will bring it to the committee for discussion.
Santa Fe parking for Santa Fe Park was discussed. Superintendent Sutherland will discuss this with Kevin
Yates.
Public Comment:
Judy Gadik asked for information regarding the Street Name Sign Policy and Mayor White provided the
information.
