The Village Council of the Village of Bellevue, Peoria County, Illinois, met in Regular Session September 26th,
2017. Chairman Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.
Chairman Johnson directed Clerk Wilson to call Roll.
Present: Chairman Terry Johnson
Trustees: Aaron Lannert, Leroy Wiseman, Martin Schuettler, Dean Merriman, Francis
Heskett, Chad Murphy
Also Present: Village Attorney, Mike Seghetti
Superintendent, Steve Wilson
Zoning Officer, Rich Stoneburner
Peoria County Officer, Andrews
Absent: None
Chairman Johnson declared a Quorum present.
The Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held on September 12th, 2017 were presented. Motion Trustee
Wiseman, second Trustee Merriman, that the Council approve Minutes as presented.
Motion carried via voce vote.
Motion Trustee Merriman, second Trustee Wiseman, that bills as presented be paid and the payrolls and
transfers be approved.
Roll Call Vote was:
Ayes: Lannert, Schuettler, Wiseman, Murphy, Merriman, Heskett
Nays: None
Chairman Johnson declared motion carried.
Ordinance 744, Appropriation and Estimated Revenue for 2017 - 2018
Ayes: Lannert, Schuettler, Wiseman, Murphy, Merriman, Heskett
Nays: None
Chairman Johnson declared motion carried.
Public Discussion
Speaker- Brenda Flynn- Informed the board, that she was having a hard time putting her home, on the market.
This Brenda believes is caused, by neighbor that is not keeping property cleaned up. Chairman Johnson,
informed Brenda, he is aware of this problem. The Village Attorney, would look into it and take care of it.
Speaker- Lois De France- Resident received a ticket for pot belly pig. Resident has had pet for most of
summer. Spoke of pig being therapeutic for her child, that has special needs. Pet is fenced in and does not go
out, unless for bathroom. Board discussed size and arrangements for pet. Board will look into this matter, for
resident.
Speaker- Howard Hendricks- Requested his property be rezoned to C1.
Speaker- Terry Elston- Inquired what was going on with Crumb?
Chairman Johnson- Crumb is working on issues.
Chairman and Attorney Discussion
Village Attorney- Mike Seghetti- Discussion with the Board, about Darin Burkel, proposed annexation and
how it was looking. It was suggested among Board members, of possible incentives for the annexation. Board
members were in agreement, to move forward at this time.
Chairman Johnson- Chris Mc Kendrick, settled with Bellevue, on fines and wrote an apology letter. Chairman
also, was told by new Sheriff, to call if trouble occurs. No more warnings are to be given on this matter.
Motioned Trustee Lannert, second Trustee Wiseman, to close the meeting.

Chairman Johnson announced, that there being no further business the Council meeting adjourned at 7:36 p.m
