City of Canton Negotiation, Grievance and Personnel Committee met December 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:

A regular meeting of the Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel Committee was held on December 5, 2017 (5:35 pm) in the Council Chambers, The Donald E. Edwards Way-50 North 4" Avenue, Canton, Illinois 61520.

Staff In attendance: Mayor Kent McDowell, City Attorney Curtis Lane, City Clerk Diana Pavley-Rock, Ron RobinsonStreet Superintendent, System Maintenance Superintendent Dash Wilson

Meet With Aggreved Employees Of American Federation Of State County And Municipal. Employees Afl-Cio Council 31/Local No 1372 (Afscme) And/Or Their Personnel Representatives Pursuant To Provisions Of The Collective Barganing Agreement Pertaining To The Settlement Of Grevances

Alderman Jump explained that the committee met with the aggrieved employees in the executive session meeting held today.

Discuss Consider And Providea Recommendation To The Councl On A Grevance By American Federation Of State County And Municipal Employees Afl-Cio Council31/Localno 1372 (AFSCME)

Alderman Jump explained that the two grievances were discussed on behalf of Mr. Bugos and Mr. Troubaugh. The Committee would need to make a recommendation to the Council for a Vote.

Motion and second were made by Aldermen Jump/West to make the recommendation to Council to ask the City Attorney to issue a letter on behalf of the Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel Committee denying the grievances filed by those employees,

Motion and second were made by Aldermen Jump/West to adjourn. The motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous.
