City of Lacon City Council met Feb. 5.

Acting Mayor Wabel opened the meeting with the pledge of allegiance. Answering roll call were
Aldermen: Jason; Hattan; Modro; Wabel; Hoskins & Strawn. City Clerk Anderle and Treasurer Davis were also present.

Acting Mayor Wabel informed the council the Zoning Board was scheduled to meet before this meeting to recommend the zoning classification for property previously owned by American Legion Post 593 at 101 Fourth Street and now owned by Chad Roberts from R-3 Multi-Family Residential to C-3 Service District. They did not have a quorum, so we do not have a recommendation from the zoning board, but the council can approve without their recommendation.
Alderman Hattan made a motion to approve Ordinance 2018-2 Amending the Zoning Ordinance and Map from R-3 Multi-Family to C-3 Service District for 101 Fourth Street. Alderman Jason seconded. Roll call: 5 Ayes.
Alderman Modro moved to adjourn at 7:03 p.m. Aldermen Hattan seconded. Roll call: 5 ayes.
