Call to Order
Chairman O'Neill called the meeting to order at 2:00 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
A motion to approve the executive session minutes of July 24, 2017, September 25, 2017, October
12, 2017 and regular session minutes of November 27, 2017 was made by Mr. Watkins and seconded by Mr. Adamson.
Mr. Adamson asked that language in the regular minutes of November 27, 2017 be amended to clarify intent in comments regarding the resolution on the FY2018 Authorized Staffing Count. The motion, as amended, carried.
Informational
• New Hire & Vacancy Report
Mr. Sorrel advised that of the 10 occupied positions in General Fund offices which report to the County Administrator, 9.23 are vacant, with 1.6 of those vacancies being funded. He stated that there are 41.8 vacant positions in elected offices within the General Fund, with 23.3 of those currently funded. He advised that there is 1 vacant position in the quasi-independent agencies in the General Fund, which is not funded.
Mr. Sorrel advised that there are 67.43 vacant positions non-General Fund offices, 60 of which are funded. He stated that there are 119.5 vacancies organization-wide, 84.9 of which are funded.
Committee Action
• Review of Executive Session Minutes
The State’s Attorney’s recommendation on the status of executive session minutes was deferred to the January meeting of the committee.
A motion to go into executive session to discuss Labor Relations was made by Ms. Parker and seconded by Mr. Rosenbohm. The motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Regular session resumed upon a motion by Mr. Watkins and second by Mr. Robinson.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned by Chairman O'Neill at 2:52 p.m.
